In pain? Urgent cases are prioritised at both clinics

In pain? Call us first.

We prioritise dental pain and urgent cases throughout the day, at both clinics. Call and we’ll find the earliest suitable appointment.

Call us if you have

Severe or persistent toothache

Pain that wakes you up, lingers after hot or cold drinks, or throbs on its own often points to inflammation or infection inside the tooth.

Swelling in the gum, face or jaw

Swelling can signal an abscess, which tends to get worse without treatment. If swelling spreads towards your eye or neck, or you have trouble breathing or swallowing, go to your nearest hospital emergency department or call 000.

A broken, cracked or chipped tooth

Even a small fracture can expose the inner layers of the tooth and cause sharp sensitivity.

A knocked-out adult tooth

Pick the tooth up by the crown, not the root. If it’s dirty, rinse it briefly in milk, then try to place it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Get to a dentist as soon as possible, ideally within the hour. Baby teeth should not be put back in.

A lost filling or crown

Less urgent than the problems above, but the exposed tooth is vulnerable and can break down further if it’s left.

Not sure if it can wait? Call us anyway. After hours, help may be available depending on Dr Amgad’s availability: call the clinic and your call may be redirected to him. More on emergencies

What brings you in?

  • Your dentist checks for early signs of decay, gum disease and wear, then the tartar brushing can’t shift is cleaned away and your teeth are polished. $199 without X-rays, or $249 to $299 with them.

  • Severe toothache, swelling, a broken tooth or a knocked-out adult tooth shouldn’t wait. We prioritise dental pain and urgent cases throughout the day. The assessment and treatment plan starts from $75.

  • An implant acts as an artificial tooth root and holds a crown. It’s surgery, so it starts with an assessment of your gums and bone, and the risks and alternatives are explained before you decide. From $2,500 for the fixture, or from $4,600 with the crown.

  • Veneers are thin composite or porcelain shells bonded to the front of the teeth. Some enamel may be removed and that can’t be undone, so it starts with a consultation about your goals and the risks. Whitening is an option too.

  • Clear, removable aligners for crowding, gaps and some bite problems. It begins with a digital scan and an assessment, and your dentist works out which treatment range fits: $3,500 to $9,500+.

  • A filling or a crown, depending on the damage. At our Moorebank clinic a CEREC crown may be possible the same day in suitable cases: designed, milled in the practice and fitted about 1 to 2 hours later.
