Accepting Urgent Dental Emergencies

Moorebank Emergency Dentist for Urgent Pain, Swelling and Dental Injuries

Tooth pain rarely picks a convenient moment. Our Moorebank clinic keeps time free each day for urgent cases, so you can be seen promptly when something goes wrong.

Urgent Dental Care in Moorebank for the Liverpool Area

A cracked molar at dinner. A throbbing ache that kept you up all night. A child’s front tooth knocked loose at footy training. These are the calls our reception team takes every week, and we treat them as a priority.

As a Moorebank emergency dentist, our first job is to work out what’s causing the problem and get your pain under control. Some situations can be settled in a single visit. Others need a stabilising step first, followed by planned treatment once the tooth has had time to settle. We’ll explain which applies to you before anything begins.

White & Bright Family Dental has cared for families across south-west Sydney for more than two decades, from our clinics on Nuwarra Road in Moorebank and Camden Valley Way in Prestons.

What Counts as a Dental Emergency?

Not every dental problem needs a same-day visit, but several shouldn’t wait. Call us if you notice any of the following:

  • Severe or persistent toothache. Pain that wakes you up, lingers after hot or cold drinks, or throbs on its own often points to inflammation or infection inside the tooth.
  • Swelling in the gum, face or jaw. Swelling can signal an abscess, which tends to worsen without treatment. If swelling spreads towards your eye or neck, or you have trouble breathing or swallowing, go to your nearest hospital emergency department or call 000.
  • A broken, cracked or chipped tooth. Even a small fracture can expose the inner layers of the tooth and cause sharp sensitivity.
  • A knocked-out adult tooth. Pick the tooth up by the crown, not the root. If it’s dirty, rinse it briefly in milk, then try to place it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Get to a dentist as soon as possible, ideally within the hour. Baby teeth should not be put back in.
  • A lost filling or crown. This is less urgent than the problems above, but the exposed tooth is vulnerable and can break down further if left.

Emergency Dentist for Liverpool, Wattle Grove, Chipping Norton and Milperra

Our Moorebank clinic sits close to several neighbouring suburbs, so many of our urgent patients come from just down the road. Patients who need a Liverpool emergency dentist can reach us with a short drive across the river. For a Wattle Grove emergency dentist or a Chipping Norton emergency dentist, the Moorebank clinic is typically the most convenient choice. We also see plenty of families who would otherwise search for a Milperra emergency dentist, as the Moorebank clinic is a quick trip for them too.

If Prestons is closer for you, our second clinic on Camden Valley Way also accepts urgent appointments.

Opening hours at both clinics are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6:30pm, and Saturday, 10am to 3pm. An after-hours dentist is also available. Call the clinic and our team will explain how to reach them.

Not Sure If It Can Wait? Give Us a Call

If you’re unsure whether your situation counts as an emergency, call us anyway. Our team can ask a few questions, give you practical advice for managing things in the meantime, and book you in as soon as possible if you need to be seen. Dealing with a problem early usually means simpler treatment and less time in pain.
